Choose Where You Stay
Most guests sleep aboard the Klotok, which is included in your tour price. If you prefer a room on land, you can stay at the Rimba Orangutan Eco Lodge instead.

The Klotok
A traditional, two-storey Indonesian wooden river boat that becomes your home for the duration of your tour. You cruise, dine, and sleep on board as you travel the Sekonyer River deep into the national park — with the option of a land-based lodge if you prefer.

Top Deck
Observation Platform
The crown of the Klotok. An elevated vantage point perfect for wildlife photography, sunrise and sunset viewing, and stargazing deep in the Borneo jungle.
Main Deck
Social Hub
The heart of the boat. Open living areas where meals are served, with bean bags for relaxation. This is where stories are shared and friendships are made. At nighttime beds with mosquito nets can be set up for up to 6 guests if needed.
Below Deck
Private Retreat
An enclosed, air-conditioned private cabin for 2 guests with a small ensuite. Ideal for couples seeking a quieter, more private space during the river journey.

Bathrooms & Facilities
The questions most travellers ask before they book.
- There are two bathrooms on board, each with a Western-style toilet and a shower.
- Showers are cold and refreshing — hot water is available at the Rimba Eco Lodge rather than on the boat.
- Fresh towels and body wash are provided on board.
- Guests sleeping open-air on deck use the below-deck bathrooms.

What it's really like?
The Klotok is a traditional wooden river boat, not a hotel — and that's the magic of it. It's a largely open vessel, so you live close to the river and the jungle around you. Most guests sleep open-plan on deck under mosquito nets, with the private cabin available for those who want an enclosed space.
Days are spent cruising, trekking and watching wildlife; evenings are quiet, lit by lanterns, with the sounds of the rainforest all around. If you're after authentic immersion over luxury, this is exactly what you're looking for — and if you'd prefer a room on land, the Rimba Eco Lodge is there as an alternative.

Prefer to sleep on solid ground? The Rimba Orangutan Eco Lodge is a comfortable, land-based retreat set in the rainforest near Tanjung Puting National Park. It's the ideal base for guests who'd rather return to a private room and a proper bed each night — and a practical choice for larger groups. You can select it when you book; it's an additional cost per night.

A lodge stay combines with your river tour — typically a night at the lodge, with a reception, a dining room and boardwalk-linked rooms, before heading back onto the Klotok. Room types, current nightly pricing and availability are confirmed when you book — contact us and we'll arrange the details.
