What to expect

Borneo Weather

Temperature

Borneo has a tropical equatorial climate with warm temperatures year-round. Daytime temperatures typically range from 27 to 33 degrees Celsius, with cooler evenings around 23 to 25 degrees on the river.

Humidity

Humidity levels are consistently high, typically between 80 and 90 percent. Light, breathable clothing is essential. The river breeze on the Klotok provides welcome relief.

Rainfall

Even during the dry season, brief afternoon showers are possible. The wet season brings heavier, more prolonged rain, often in the afternoon and evening. A rain jacket is essential year-round.

Daylight

Being near the equator, Borneo enjoys roughly 12 hours of daylight year-round. Sunrise is around 5:30 AM and sunset around 5:30 PM, offering excellent early morning and late afternoon light for photography.
